tales from the freakboy zone...
...is an eclectic blog full of short stories, so-called poetry and miscellaneously random ramblings from the bent mind of John L. Harmon. He began telling these tales in May of 2013, but feared he would have to permanently end this blog in December of 2016 when he lost a chunk of his vision. John slowly found his way back to these tales during the summer of 2017 and now continues full freaky steam ahead.

👁 am John with many faces: blogger of random nonsense ~writer of occasional books ~ maker of very short films ~ visually impaired ~queer ~ cat dad John L. Harmon was born and raised left of center in a quiet Nebraska town. Creating worlds within his world through writing, audio recordings, and acting out elaborate days-long stories with his toys was how he survived the loneliness of childhood and adolescence. For nearly as long as he can remember, writing has been his passion and publishing a book has been his dream. John attempted to pursue this dream through traditional means, but quickly realized being traditional didn't suit his style. Technology finally caught up with his dream and he released DARK EXCURSIONS as an e-book series in 2013. In 2015, he collected the four e-books into one print edition. A copy of this oversized paperback would find its way onto the shelves of the Broken Bow Public Library, which had been another childhood dream of his.
