  The Collective Eye is on...  WHAT SHOULD THE WORLD KNOW ABOUT YOU?  I am afraid, with my tendency to write about my personal life pretty regularly, the world already knows too much!  As people go, I’m pretty boring.  I am a peace-loving optimist and skeptic (but like, in an optimistic way).    Whenever I have to take part in teambuilding type activities where you’re supposed to reveal something about yourself no one knows there are usually a few things I fall back on: I play the violin, I am writing a novel, and I can touch my nose with my tongue.  That last one gets mixed reactions.    HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR BLOG?  My blog probably should be named “Dear Diary” because it is me writing about my life, my experiences, my memories, my frustration and sadness and happiness and joy.  Occasionally I throw a fiction story out there but doing that makes me want to throw up so it’s mostly The Life and Times of Nichole.  It i...

  The Collective Eye is on...  WHAT SHOULD THE WORLD KNOW ABOUT YOU?  Although I have had my struggles in life, I don't give up. For example, i've a learning disability but I don't let it define me or bring me down. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR BOOKS & ART?  I want the world to be a happier place. I am a very creative person & I want people to smile when they see my art & when they read my books. WHO/WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BEGIN WRITING & CREATING ART?   The art, clearly visiting museums when I was younger.     Being taken to art museums in my youth has impacted me enormously. As for my writing.   The Collective Eye is on...  WHAT SHOULD THE WORLD KNOW ABOUT YOU?   First and foremost, that this music is for me. I created it because I’ve always wanted to make music and because I have things inside me that I feel I need to release into the world. I am someone who consistently asks the same question: What’s this (*waves arms*) all about? Is it about anything at all? I don’t have an answer, but the music is an exploration of the question.  Some of the feedback I’ve received on this body of work is that it’s dark. But it simply has to be that way. I’ll talk more about that in a minute, but what I want people to know is that while it’s true that the music may feel or sound bleak, there’s always an element of hope weaving through it for me. There’s always hope because that’s what keeps us moving forward. The Collective Eye - March 2021 - Until The Lights Go Up

  The Collective Eye is on...  WHAT SHOULD THE WORLD KNOW ABOUT YOU?    In a previous professional existence, I was an accountant and an auditor. I became Mr. Mom for a while, then moved into a position writing descriptions of stamp collections. Thanks to the Pandemic, I am once again a house husband, splitting time with Twitter and writing children’s fiction adventures with talking dinosaurs. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR BLOG?  My blog is a mixture of articles about film and music, some genealogy, photo essays, attempts at humor, dinosaurs, and anything that I enjoy thinking about. My brain tends to be all over the place and this blog is an outlet for it. WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO CREATE  UNTIL THE LIGHTS GO UP?  I have been part of a friend’s blog (BloodyWhisper) which deals with horror, regardless of the medium. It was my first chance to be “published”.
