John L. Harmon was born and raised left of center in a quiet Nebraska town.  Creating worlds within his world through writing, audio recordings, and acting out elaborate days-long stories with his toys was how he survived the loneliness of childhood and adolescence.

For nearly as long as he can remember, writing has been his passion and publishing a book has been his dream.  John attempted to pursue this dream through traditional means, but quickly realized being traditional didn't suit his style.  Technology finally caught up with his dream and he released DARK EXCURSIONS as an e-book series in 2013.  In 2015, he collected the four e-books into one print edition.  A copy of this oversized paperback would find its way onto the shelves of the Broken Bow Public Library, which had been another childhood dream of his.

Then, in the now fateful month of December 2016, John lost a chunk of his vision.  (see VISION BENT for more info on his sight or lack thereof)  Either through sheer determination to keep his creative spark burning or because he didn't know what else to do, he found his way back to writing.  This was possible due to his tablet and Mad Scientist Glasses. (see the video below for more info on MSG)

Nowadays, John L. Harmon can still be found left of center in the state of Nebraska, though he has experienced far less quiet towns over the years.  When he's not writing or blogging, John is delivering bad news around town, soaking up the local library atmosphere, or relaxing with a cat on his lap.
